15 Celebs Issued with Warrants for Arrest?!

15 celebrities are going to the slammer on Saturday, 27 August…all in support of cancer. And you can be involved in restoring law and order if you head down South – that is South of Joburg. On the day, 3 malls will play host to the CANSA Jail and Bail event – Maponya and South Gate Malls, and The Glen Shopping Centre.

Kaos Matu will be doing his bit for cancer later this month

The CANSA Jail and Bail event is the Cancer Association of SA’s creative bid to raise funds and awareness for people living with cancer. It can take place anywhere in the country but this time the focus is on the Joburg’s Southern suburbs. CANSA research showed that most residents there are not educated about cancer.

And this is how it works…basically; celebrities will be jailed in a public place on phony charges. Each has to be bailed out by the public and has to convince the public to raise bail money for his or her release. Each jailbird will be tried in a mock court where a judge will sentence them with a fine at the event. The bail monies raised will go towards the fight against cancer.

Will Brickz make bail?

Some of the celebs getting locked up are kwaito singer Bricks, Yfm and Club 808 presenter Dineo Ranaka and former Selimathunzi presenter Kaos Matu.

Head to Maponya Mall, The Glen and South Gate Mall on Saturday, 27 August, to join in the fight against cancer. The events starts at 9:30am.
