Artists for Peace Concert

Join WONDERboom, Shugasmakx, Flassh Republic, as well as, other artists and celebrities to show your support for peace. A host of artists will take to the stage for the ‘Peace Starts 2011’ Concert set to kick off on Saturday, 24th September at Crawford College in Sandton’s Benmore suburb.


This event, which is an act of solidarity with the United Nations, is one of a series of global events scheduled to commemorate the International Day of Peace on the 21st September.

Others on the line-up include The Graeme Watkins Project, Kwesta, Slikour, Josie Field, Paul E Flynn, RedButton, Sifiso, DJ’s Deezo and Pencil Boy, The Honey Droppers and more. Each will be performing free of charge and, even better, the event is free f charge. Their only reward will be to play an active role in bringing about harmony.

There will also be contributions from ‘Peace Starts 2011’ endorser organisations such as Greenpeace, Miss Earth SA, and Roots & Shoots SA.

The Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Dr Jane Goodall will be there to deliver inspirational messages to concert-goers.
